As a beauty blogger, I am lucky enough to be sent a massive amount of beauty products to try and review. What that means in reality, is that my bedroom and bathroom is overflowing with products. Recently on Instagram I posted a picture of everything that is in my shower at the moment. People were shocked/impressed with the sheer quantity of products. Then my mum added ‘what’s in my shower’ to my blog post ideas list on my whiteboard so I knew I just had to write about them all.
In this post I’m going to run through all of the products I’m using at the moment, and what I like about them. It’s heavy on the hair products, but also includes skincare and body products – a bit of something for everyone.

Another month, another empties post, and this time I’ve finished up some products that I truly loved! I have emptied products from Plantae, OGX, Madre Labs, Dove, Za, Kiehl’s, and XO Beauty. Okay, so one isn’t technically an empty but it’s something I’m throwing out so it counts for this. That’s one haircare item, two skincare, three body, and one makeup tool. Let’s get into it!

Foot peeling masks are something that I had been curious about for a while ever since reading about them on a few different blogs. Recently I’ve been going through my beauty product stash in preparation for moving house and I discovered that I actually had a foot peeling mask! My friend Louisa from the blog Intrepid Forays and Adventures gave me a bunch of masks she had got in Meme Boxes and amongst that was the Pureplus Skin Freyia Foot Peeling Mask. My feet have been a bit rough lately and since it’s sandal weather I decided to put it to the test. Keep reading for my review which includes photos of it in action!

Today I am doing a Lush haul – I’ll be showing you the great products that I bought recently, and giving you my first impressions of the product. It’s not a full review of them, mainly because I was too excited and didn’t want to wait. The products that I bought are Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, Dirty Toothy Tabs, Soft Coeur Massage Bar, and Stepping Stone foot scrub. Three of the four items are things I’ve never tried, but they came highly recommended by friends so I took the plunge and threw my usual cautious researching to the wind.
I don’t usually do haul posts, mainly because I haven’t been shopping much for the last year or so, and also because when I do buy things I get really excited and post them on instagram immediately and then tear into them…and maybe review them a few months later. NOT THIS TIME THOUGH. I tore into it in my car, but then I got down to taking photos before I started using them. Such dedication.

After a bumper month of finishing products in July, this month my empties box is looking quite empty! It seems to happen in peaks and troughs of finished products, so perhaps the September edition will be much bigger. During the past months I finished three products, a Paula’s Choice blemish treatment, Lavanilla deodorant, and a sample of Pure Fiji body butter. Read on to see what I thought of these products!

Ingrown hairs. Not a particularly glamoruous topic to be talking about, but something I unfortunately have a lot of experience with. Before I had IPL hair removal, I was very prone to ingrown hairs, and got them from pretty much every hair removal method that I attempted. I would consider myself an expert in how to prevent and treat ingrown hairs, but I must give the caveat that I’m not actually a beauty therapist, merely someone with a lot of trial and error experience. I’m passing on my tips on how to prevent and treat ingrown hairs, to spare you from the pain of experiencing them yourselves.

Today I want to sing the praises of the Salux Cloth – this is the ultimate exfoliator!
What is a salux cloth, you ask? It’s a nylon bath towel, originating from Japan. It exfoliates your skin and promotes improved blood circulation. Salux cloths create a great lather as well so you don’t need to use much product. It’s kind of similar to the texture of a synthetic bath poof, but it rinses and dries much more easily so it’s more hygienic. I’ve been using it to combat my Keratosis Pilaris (‘chicken skin’), and it has done wonders! It’s effective for exfoliating for people without KP as well, so if you want baby smooth skin, keep reading.

As my no-buy continues, I’ve been finishing more products. During June I used up 6 full size products – all skincare in one sense or another, from face to hands to body. They are: Soap and Glory The Breakfast Scrub, Trilogy Rosehip oil, Sukin sensitive facial moisturiser, Indeed Labs Hydraluron, Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy body wash, and Anatomicals Help The Paw Hand Cream. Keep reading for mini reviews on all of these products, and whether I would repurchase them!

Physiogel Skincare have recently released two ranges of products which have been formulated to relieve dry sensitive skin – the Daily Moisture Therapy range, and the Calming Relief range. I do suffer from dry and sensitive skin, so when I was contacted by Physiogel and asked if I’d like to review them, I was excited by this opportunity. Firstly so that I could try to combat these skin issues, but also so I could help readers out by sharing a review of how it worked for me. As someone with dry sensitive skin, people love to try and suggest products to use, but recommendations are hard to believe unless they actually have the same problems. Hopefully this review will be helpful for any of you who suffers from these problems too.
